How are we different?
We offer a pick up and drop off service that is run by our chosen carer, who is picked specifically for the individual, they are responsible for the care of your son/daughter through out the time they are with Art + Soul. This care is as intensive as needed, according to the guidelines from your assessment. Ranging from 1-1 to 1-4 care.
We provide a nurse who has a current qualification, who can carry out medical procedures once a training and permission has taken place, either from the parents or medical advise. All of our staff carry a current first aid certificate.
We are flexible to the activity input given to your son or daughter. This is able due to the high care ratio.
We can change venues, activities, options and days to suit your young adults progression (this may mean the carer has to change, but we do look at compatibility closely, and employ new staff if needed).
Our carers range from nurses, paramedics, special education teachers, art degree graduates and musicians all of whom receive full training on the individuals who attend Art+Soul.
There are different types of funding available for our young adults that we use on a constant basis:
2. Individualised funding
3. Renaissance *
4. Real world living *
* These are specific funding given to individuals with high needs or are in supported living.
Whereas our support ratio range is permanent due to our different fund providers times and ways of paying. Those coming from school, their OARS only carries them for 12 months after they leave, it is up to the parents to try and access as much funding as possible via Taikura Trust.
